“We have been using GluSeal for at least 5 years with very good results. We use it primarily as a substitute for surface sutures. I have also used it in conjunction with surface sutures on the scalp – it seals the wound and the patients do not have to apply Vaseline or other ointment to their scalp, particularly if in a hair-bearing area. The GluSeal dissolves and flakes off approximately the same time that we are removing sutures. Finally, I have also used it to seal superficial fissures, usually on fingertips.
We have been very pleased with the product. Our patients who have had it used on them once always ask for it when they have an additional procedure. “
