“In addition to using GluSeal as a top “bandage” in lieu of surface sutures (the majority of my use), I also use it for two other purposes:
- Covering open wounds that I am allowing to granulate on the trunk and extremities
- Supporting thin, weak skin that I do plan to put top sutures in by “painting” the surrounding tissue with glue (but not getting it into the wound itself) in order to strengthen the skin. Then, placing sutures through the skin and glue combination so that the suture is less likely to tear through the skin.”
